I AM NOW AN AUNT!!! My oldest sister Melissa had her first born on none other than my birthday!! best gift ever...his name is Ryan Tod Hayes and he's the most precious thing in existance. Needless to say 3 out of the past 4 weekends I've made the 5 hour drive to stay with her in Rexburg, Idaho! why would I be in Provo when I could be cuddling with that handsome little guy? He's three weeks old now and I can't get enough of him. I'm already an obsessed aunt. Might even be semi-baby hungry now....you're not judging me though, are you?
My younger sister Jessica is living in Salt Lake City this year going to school at LDSBC and is only 45 minutes away from me so it's been SO fun having her so close!! Like I said....all I ever wannna do is hangout with my family that's close these days. So it's definitely been way nice having her near!! She is a riot.
More family craziness....my older sister Kim is due in just a week from today!! She lives in Rexburg, Idaho too so I've been staying with her and Melissa both. I can't wait for her to have her baby girl in just one short week! She is SO pregnant and so ready to have her baby! I'm already loving Aunt-hood (is that a word?) so much already that I can't imagine what it's going to be like to have a new little baby NIECE along with my brand new baby nephew! Life is so good. I hope that my kids aren't the poor left out cousins that missed the baby boom of the family.
It's now Thanksgiving break and my family is spending the holidays in Rexburg! My sister Jessica and I are staying with Melissa and Kim both. My mom will be up here on Wednesday night to celebrate Thanksgiving and welcome Kim's new babygirl at any time!! I'm sad that my Dad and youngest sister Sarah won't be able to make it but I know that I'll be able to see them soon at Christmas! My best friend Vanessa will be coming in town tomorrow night too to spend the holidays with my family and I'm so excited for her to get here. It's way fun being in Rexburg and seeing my really good friends from back home that go to school at BYU-Idaho here. (cough Catherine Hecht cough Justin Pearson cough). Me and my sister Jessica went with our sister Melissa and her husband's side of the family to go pick out a Christmas tree up in Island Park and it was sooooo much fun!! I'm already so into the holiday season. Don't worry, I'm also having a "Home Alone" movie marathon and baking pumpkin chocolate chip cookies as we speak. I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS.
All I know is I'm loving this family bonding and relaxation time and I can't wait for some turkey, games, and BLACK FRIDAY shoppppppppin! Bring on the good times. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
